The awakening call.

Its really difficult to pen down these things, but the reality is that truth is always hard to believe.

India, a damn big country with a land area of 3.3 million square kilometer and a population of 1.12 billion people.

So, this blog will be on India and I would like to start this blog with a song from the film " Unnal Mudiyum Tambi" a tamil film released in the year of 1988. The song goes this way,
" Punjai undu nanjai undu pongi varum gangai undu
Panjam mattum innum inga theerala
Veedhiku oru katchi undu saadhiku oru sangam undu
Needhi solla inga oru naadhi illa
Sanam nimmadhiaa thoonga oru naalum illa
Idhu naada illa vaerum kaada
Idhai kaeka yaarum illai thozha"

I still feel the same way in 2009.

Poverty still grips of millions of people in India. Many die of malnutrition. Its high time we focus on this issue,
If we want India to grow, it should be an uniform growth. If only one side of India grows then its actually some defect.
Take your body for example, if all the parts grow uniformly then you are normal, but just if your leg or arm grows then you are in serious trouble and that is the same case with India.

There are also other serious issues which we need to focus,
1)Energy,
2)Pollution,
3)Education,
4)Poverty

Energy : We all were aware of the time when there were frequent power cuts. But there are so many people who have not even experienced the effect of electricity. Many living in hill stations, where it is difficult to construct grids and then supply electricity renewable energy is a very good option.

India receives approximately 275 days of sunlight every year. India receives so much solar energy which is far more than the total energy consumption of the country. Presently more than 90 % of the energy demand in India is met by fossil fuels.

Presently, the Indian government has decided this is the way to go, and they are focusing more on solar energy and electrifying India completely.

We need to tackle all these economic hurdles quickly and grow. The pollution and the carbon dioxide emission have to be controlled.
Next big hurdle is the poverty. Here are some stats
More than millions of people live below the poverty line and eating three meals a day is a big achievement for many.
But when u see the other side, like nearly four of the top 10 richest in the world are from India.

This economic gap should reduce and it s up to us to do something to bridge this gap.

India is a young country with an average age of it s population to be 24.8 years of age. I think this is the right time for the things to change.

There is no sacred thing in this world, than helping the fellow human being. We dont have to build the people a beautiful home, or give them a brand new car..

All we have to do is to provide education for all the people and see to that they get three meals a day.

Change is the only thing that is constant ever, SO let s hope and do all the things that is required for a beautiful place to live in.
Jai Hind,

Indians have very sick attitude. The middle class and rich people love to exploit the poor and needy. The conservative sick traditional attitude of Indians should change. Else there will be only chaos forever.

Good one da...
But the very truth is the gap between rich and poor is widening a lot... Since the last 2 decades, the highest wage keeps on increasing from thousands and lakhs where as the lowest wags remains the same and it's definitely not a healthy economic growth and this needs to be addressed...

You embarked on with a very serious issue...
Nice one....

Your thoughts are on the dot da.. all correct..

I hear many people say that IT has widened the gap between the haves and the havenots and so its not good.. I differ in my opinion..

IT has been GREAT for us.. We know how many of our classmates at Tech came from rural backgrounds right? They ALL are earning very handsome salaries now in some IT company or the other..

This is exactly what u said - education WILL make a difference..

We all need to be part of the system to eradicate a disease known as POVERTY. If that goes out of the radar then others items will fall in place

Way to go buddy!
